Metaphors of Space and of Time (soprano trombone and electronics)

Commissioned by Torbjorn Hultmark for his Soprano Trombone. Torbjorn's interest in improvisation is reflected in the score which serves as a guide for the performer to find the piece between the notes and the electronics. The later, programmed in Supercollider, include several reactive processes where input from the player influences the process. Torbjorn likened those to 'performing with a slightly willful partner'. He ended up using these in some of his own improvisations.
