Like the French Baroque saraband, my piece is a kind of slow dance in 3. 3 repeating sound events form a kind of matrix through which the music flows, focusing on dialogs between and within the instruments. somewhat like the earlier Saraband the music is ornamental and highly stylized. though inspired by the Baroque form there are no specific baroque allusions or stylistic quotations in the music itself.
