String Quartet

The three movements of this quartet were conceived as windows into a larger, imaginary single movement piece. In the first movement the players are almost independent each presenting its own unique material. These continually evolve and converge in the following movements. It was premiered at Stanford by the St. Lawrence String Quartet.
